Kristen Lloyd (M.P.H., UMDNJ School of Public Health) is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for State Health Policy where she provides data management, statistical analysis, and quantitative support for various projects. Her current focus is on monitoring and evaluating health system performance improvements in NJ’s Medicaid program through the Medicaid Comprehensive Waiver and Medicaid ACO Demonstration projects. Her research interests include the investigation of factors that impact access to medical and dental care, particularly disparities in access by immigration status, race/ethnicity, and insurance coverage. She also investigates environmental determinants of childhood obesity among urban youth. Prior to joining the Center, she worked for the UMDNJ School of Public Health as a Project Coordinator for a retrospective cohort study investigating racial disparities in breast cancer treatment. She received her M.P.H. with a concentration in Epidemiology from the UMDNJ School of Public Health (now a school of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey) and a B.S. in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Georgian Court University.
